H.E Governor Paul Simba Arati on Thursday conducted a meet-the-people tour within Kisii town CBD. He had an opportunity to engage with members of the public and listen to their views towards the improvement of service delivery.
While hailing the business community in Kisii town for being supportive in revenue collection, the Governor gave an undertaking that his administration will seek to improve on services and the business environment through an elaborate modern market development programme.
However, the traders raised concerns over harassment by civilian cleaner groups and other criminal gangs operating in town with impunity. In response, the Governor appealed to the police to crackdown on any criminal element, hell-bent on mistreating traders and innocent members of the public while purporting to work for the county.
